and that's how i roll

i am actually blogging again after a little hiatus. i am just going through it right now. nothing i especially want to talk about in a blog. it's the times when i should be writing the most that i tend to shut down. here are just a few random updates of what is going on in my life in general (in no specific order of importance):

*i am still fighting with my insurance over my 2 ER visits back in march. so far, i am losing. not good.

*i was flirting outrageously with the cute guy in the office today. i managed to tone it down considerably when i realized he was married with kids. i am not exactly sure why it is when there are cute men in the office (keep in mid this rarely happens) that the women i work with turn into a bunch of dumb asses. example: one of the nurses in the office took that exact moment to point out the uneven-ness of the stickers i had printed out it. tell me why? (said in a ky accent).

*shanon and i, slightly intoxicted, had to purchase axe (men's shampoo) to wash some kind of buildup that resembled glue in my hair. i smelled like aftershave for the rest of the night, but it did the trick.

*speaking of hair, i got mine all chopped off. 2 years of work gone. oh well. it looks better although there are days i do kind of miss my pony tail.

*my conversations this week have been dominated by cops and lesbians.

*my cats are so adorable i cannot even stand it. had to point that out.

*i am gearing up for shanon's vineyard party. i have been forewarned about her charming-pot-smoking-liberal-red-neck-charming-whore-brother. it could be an eventful weekend.

*i am going to see derric for the last time in california on sunday. sadness.

*speaking of california, there is a massive fire about 70 miles from here. i can see the haze in the sky and smell the smoke even up here. i actually drove by close to it shortly after it started on saturday. that was the trip that i learned not all roads lead to santa barbara. i was little terrified when i realized i had climbed to an elevation of 5,000 feet.

*i decided i was bored with dallas season 11 and moved to dallas season 6.

*i finally watched val and her happy colon, and that is still as far as i have gotten on my knots dvd.

*i finally washed my filthy car. i mean, i was considered a model citizen because of the drought and all, but even model citizenship has its limits.

*the hester household no longer has a leak in the bathroom $200 later and after i received a panic-stricken call from the reverend who could not figure out how to turn off the water and who was leaving to go out of town the next day. the turn off valve ended up being under the bathroom sink. go figure.

*it has actually been 48 degrees in the mornings down at the beach. in august.
